How to I get messages on my iPad from my phone when SMS/iMessage is not enabled on my iPad?

To enable SMS/MMS on your iPad, go to your

iPhone's Settings > Messages > Text Message Forwarding > make sure your iPad is selected here.

FYI: Both devices (iPhone & iPad) must use the same Apple ID & password.

iPad cannot do SMS/MMS since it's not a phone.

To use SMS/MMS on an iPad, you need to have an iPhone using the same Apple ID and password.

iPad will then send SMS/MMS via your iPhone.

Could I enable it from my phone, because my Apple ID is grayed out

It literally is everywhere except on my home screen, and it doesn’t appear when i turn iCloud back on for messages. Is also isn’t in my settings in the app section

It also says “Disable and download messages?” When i turn of iCloud sharing for it, but it still isn’t there on my home screen.
