Apple iPhone 12 pro won’t connect to car play

Hi I tried reinstalling iPhone and Anker connecting cable won’t work as it did on iPhone 11 Pro Max. Do I need a different cable?

Had the same problem, doing a hard reset fixed it. In very rapid succession hit the volume up button, the volume down button then hold the power button until the phone turns off (screen goes black) and the apple logo appears(may take up to 20 secs). Then release the power button. Phone will continue to start up. It's critical to hit the buttons in rapid succession, if too slow all that happens is that Siri will be activated. Volume buttons are on the left side of the phone and power button is on the right side. Hope this helps
