Not sure if anyone here watches ASMR but...
I am trying to find out if I am crazy, my phone is messed up, or if this is an issue across all iPhone 12s. I got my new 12 mini. I watched ASMR and holy crap the audio is AWFUL! Clicky whispers, tapping, etc all sound so... plasticy? Robotic? Idk how to explain. Its an issue across all channels, new and old videos. I am so annoyed!!! Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes!! I’ve been looking for others with this issue on the iPhone 12 mini - it’s almost a dull echo, I tried to explain it to my husband and all I could think of was ‘woody’. It’s really noticeable on all videos with speech but especially ASMR. Not so noticeable with music but I think there’s still an element of it there. Definitely different (not in a good way) from my old iPhone (original iPhone SE - so this should *definitely* have better quality audio, right? It really doesn’t!)
I’ve seen other threads mostly focused on other audio issues (crackling/static, cutting out & variable volume issues) and a couple of times this echo-y ‘like in a drum’ quality has been mentioned - I think they are referencing the same issue but not common and no sign of it being addressed/no suggestions to fix except ensure latest update + hard reset 😕

Yes!! My audio on iphone 12 mini is weird too! I’ve noticed it emits sounds like “talking over a cooling fan”. Anyone else with this problem?
Yes!! Same problem here! Awful audio! Compared to my 2016 iPhone SE the audio is terrible. I have an iPhone 12 Mini.
