How Long it Would Take:
Well how long it would take would most certainly vary, depending on what you are migrating, and how fast your computer is. To increase the timespan, be sure nothing is open, other than the Migration Assistant. To find out what is open, Go to: Apple Menu > Select: Force Quit. Save your files of those apps, and then close them.
