Reset restrictions passcode. iPad 14.2
I set restrictions on my son’s iPad years ago. Now he’s older I haven’t used the passcode for years and can’t remember it. How do I change it please?

Anyone? Please? I see the factory reset doesn’t work either.... same problem. There must be a way to break into the loop of same requests?

If you have forgotten the ScreenTime passcode (previously known as the Restrictions Passcode in earlier versions of iOS), one of the two procedures outlined within this link should resolve the problem:
If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support
If your iPad is capable of supporting iPadOS 13.x or later, you should update to the most current version before attempting to resolve a forgotten ScreenTime passcode. The most recent iPadOS updates have introduced a new mechanism whereby a forgotten ScreenTime passcode can be reset without wiping the iPad.
To reset a forgotten ScreenTime passcode on older versions of iOS/iPadOS, the iPad must be reset “as new”, losing all locally stored data. In this situation, you’ll not be able to restore your data from an iCloud or iTunes backup - as the forgotten passcode is integral to the backup. For iPad’s where the linked procedures are ineffective, a reset of the iPad may also be required.

Thank you but I already tried that. I don’t get the option to reset the passcode, just the same request for the current one... I can’t change the passcode without knowing the passcode!
