iPhone folder empty on PC

iPhone folder empty on PC

So I have tried all I cant think of, to no avail.

I connect my iphone 3GS to my PC (Windows XP) and the "Apple iPhone" icon appears in My Computer. So far so good.

I then click on said icon, and the folder is empty. I have many photos on my phone, and they are just not showing up.

I've tried opening the scanner and camera wizard, but it says the device is busy.

I cannot open the properties of that icon, getting the same error message that the device is busy.

The autorun when I connect the iPhone (where it usually lists a bunch of programs) is also blank.

Can anyone help me?

Only photos in the camera roll album on the iphone show up in the Wizard for Windows PC's. The sync'ed photos on the iphone are located in their original sync source folder as defined on the photos tab in itunes.

Sorry I didn't explain that very well, I am referring to photos in the Camera Roll. Nothing at all is showing up in the folder which appears.

OK. I see. I have used the My Computer/Explorer many times to drag photos from the iphone4 camera roll to my computer with no problems.

Some things to try:
1) Restart the iphone: Press and Hold the Home and Wake Sleep buttons until the Apple Logo appears.
2) If that doesn't work, try a reset, To reset go to Settings, General, Reset, Reset.
3) Restart your computer. I'd do this with the iphone unplugged, then plug it in and retry the my computer/explorer method.

Yep tried all these, even tried uninstalling drivers and re-installing.

I have managed to resolve my problem.

Was as simple as deleting all pictures in my camera roll that were not taken by the camera i.e. all pics saved from the internet and all screencaps.

This seemed to do the trick because my photos are now showing up!

Hope this helps someone out there who has the same problem...
