Is Microsoft Office M1 native?

Hi, I am thinking of getting a M1 MacMini, but I want to buy it with a copy of Microsoft Office through the teacher discount. If I buy through the Apple EPP, will I get Office which is native to M1 or using Rosetta 2? I think that I want a standard Office that is native, if possible.

Not yet, but they do have a native Apple Silicon build of Office 2019 for Mac in beta, without a hard release date.

To be honnest, Office has been quite buggy in the last days, Powerpoint & Teams especially.
