Gifting digital music

I want to send a specific digital album of music as a gift. I don't see a gifting option. Help!

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15

It is there. Make sure you are looking in the Store, not in Apple Music. See details in here:

I was able to follow directions to gift the item via my iPhone, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do it from my MacBook. There is no price associated with the album, nor any way to gift it that I can see. The instructions on the document you linked worked for my iPhone, but not my Mac. What's going on??

Leslie,

If you don't see a price, you are probably looking in Apple Music rather than in the iTunes Store. Make sure you are in the iTunes Store, as shown below.
