Hindi (Latin) keyboard

I want to be able to add IAST diacritical marks on transliterated Sanskrit & Hindi words on my iPad Pro. I have a Folio keyboard for the iPad Pro. Someone told me one used to be able to do this with a “Hinglish” keyboard, which is now called Hindi (Latin). Yes? If so, how can i learn how to use this keyboard - which keystrokes/ a keyboard layout, etc? Any help appreciated.

On the screen keyboard, you get the special IAST characters by long pressing the keys and selecting what you want from the popup menu that appears.

On a hardware keyboard, you go to settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard and tap over at the right edge, and then select ABC Extended. The IAST characters are made by using the Option key. Here is some info

I cannot find any option for ABC Extended in the Settings

When you have your hardware keyboard connected, and you then go to settings > general > keyboard > hardware keyboard and tap over at the right edge, do you not see a long list of keyboards where ABC Extended is one of the choices? If not, what do you see.

When your hardware keyboard is not connected and you have your screen keyboard set to Hindi Latin and you long press the letters r, t, d, n, s, do you not get a popup menu with the same letter with the dot underneath? If not, what do you get? What letters are you missing.
