Printing in Landscape with AirPrint

Dear all,

I am trying to print a Word document (Word for Mac 16.42) to a Canon i-sensys MF635cx using AirPrint from an iMac (macOS Big Sur 11.0.1). When I go to print it, this is what I see in the print preview and it's also what I get when I print:

This is infuriating. Printing documents from Word has been going on for a few years now; why does the iMac not allow me to print a document properly? Is it somehow new to Apple or are they simply incompetent?

I'd be very grateful for a solution. Apple already replied, sending me to webpages with an explanation of how to use Word for Mac - that wasn't any use. The pages were about how to set pages in a document to portrait or landscape; I already know how to do that! It did not solve this printing issue

Thanks in advance,

sd

I don't use Word, nor a Canon printer. What other options are available in that Copies & Pages selector, and do any of them offer a Portrait/Landscape selection on their panels? The orientation controls should be on the print panel landing page if Canon had done this properly.

Secondly, is your particular Color preset configured to use Portrait by default?
