Safari Tabs

Whenever I am on safari, weird tabs open up starting a couple of days ago. I have tried everything on system preferences but nothing seems to work

MacBook keeps opening random tabs on Safari My MacBook Pro (M1 Chip) keeps opening random tabs on Safari, and when I search for things it is coming up with bing, instead of Google, I don't know why this is happening and its quite annoying, Has this happened to anyone before? Is there something I can do to fix this?

Some Safari windows start with a black or coloured controls bar; why? Some Safari windows start with a black or coloured controls bar. I can't see any rhyme or reason - its NOT private browsing - I don't use it. How is this controlled??

Quit Safari. Launch Safari holding the shift key down.
