Cannot add a grocery card to wallet
Unable to add new cards such as grocery point cards to wallet. The only choices are credit & Apple pay. I just want to add a plain bar code ID card.

Thanks for being part of Apple Support Communities. Sounds like you're trying to add some point/reward cards to your Apple Wallet but you're not able to. We'd like to try to help.
If you're not able to add a card, we want to make sure things are set up correctly. Check out this resource first: How to use Wallet on your iPhone, iPod touch, and Apple Watch. Is that how you're trying to add your card? If you are, and it's still not working, you'll want to ask the merchant if they support Apple Wallet.
The other option is to look in the App Store to see if there is a 3rd party wallet app that may be able to store these cards for use that way.
