2019 Macbook Pro (Hardware) Graphical Glitches in Chrome and Electron Applications
This issue has been posted in various places on the internet and the "turn off hardware acceleration" works but is unacceptable for me because I use hardware acceleration and applications built in electron.
Catalina: 10.15.7
MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019) | 2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9 | 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4 | AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 8 GB
Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB.
I am using 2 external displays at 2k resolution. I am not using the laptop as a display and it is closed on a stand. This glitch mostly happens after "sleep / awake".
It does go away in chrome by disabling hardware acceleration but that leaves my figma application unable to render.
I have tried turning off "automatic graphic switching to save power". It did nothing.
Any desktop application built in electron glitches, eg: gitkraken, teamwork/slack
Rebooting does work to fix but the issue will come back after a sleep/wake.
@apple - lets debug this together. Is it the AMD drivers? when the system sleeps does a service need to be restarted or refreshed? HELP please.
