Question about Notes

I have used a number of different text editors and word processors on my computer over the years but just recently began using Notes for short messages and so forth. Had two questions: Is there any way to save docs written in Notes to a folder on my computer or can Notes docs only be saved in the app itself such as in iOS? I know that I can export as a PDF from notes but there does not seem to be any way to save or export in any other formal. Question #2: Is there a way to adjust line spacing in notes as one can do in Pages and in many other text editors? I am using a 2018 MacBook Air running 10.14.6 and Notes 4.6. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
