Black screen. Green Camera Light is on but no picture. Been inoperable since I upgraded to OS Big Sur. Any fixes or people experiencing this?

Same problem here. 2019 16" MacBook Pro. Photo Booth shows me the green light but the screen is black and I am unable to capture a photo. The built-in camera works with every other capture app, including QuickTiime Player.
Delete the file inside the folder /Library/Graphics/Quartz Composer Plug-Ins/ and it will work.
In my case the green camera light is not working as well. I am using MacBook Air Early 2015

I have the same problem, I use photo booth all the time and since I upgraded to BigSur this has been happening.

There is a post at the bottom of this thread with a solution. Works right away and takes lit 2 seconds.

This didn’t help. Both FaceTime and PhotoBooth doesn’t seem to work. I just see a black window.
