roku tv will not add to homekit

I am attempting to add my Roku TV to the HomeKit app. It recognizes the QR code but I keep getting the error message of Accessory Not Found. I have tried this with my iPad and iPhone. Both systems are on the same wifi. Anyone else have this same issue?

I had this problem as well with my Sharp Roku TV and found the solution was to restart the TV (which is not the same as just turning it off and on). Go to Settings >> System >> Power >> System restart. Once my TV restarted I went back to Airplay and it added right away. Hope this helps.

I kept getting the same error until I moved both my TV and Phone from my "Guest" network to my home network. My router supports both and we always use the guest network for streaming (which as I found out does not allow sharing between devices).

I also have the same problem; notably, I was able to get my philips hue lightbulbs to work on my HomeKit app just about a week ago, so it seems to be a problem specifically between my Roku TV and my HomeKit. My error message is "Unable to Add Accessory", "Accessory is not reachable."

I have the Roku TV version 7827X, running on software version 9.4.0, which is stated to work with HomeKit.
