iPadOS - Multiple Users On One iPad

It is 2020 we have amazing expensive devices running beautiful software. An iPad Pro is not a small purchase for anyone, for those that want to use it as a laptop replacement there is one major floor in the entire process.

Being able to have MULTIPLE USERS ON ONE IPAD!

Other market leaning tablets have had profiles/users for the past 8 years. What is going on Apple!?! You are always jabbering on about a harmonious eco system.

Apple is bringing OSX closer to iOS every day, this one little thing to bring iOS closer to OSX seem to be in the ‘too hard basket’?

I totally understand that Apple want everyone to have their own; Phone, Tablet, Laptop, Watch etc.. but a tablet @ $2000-$3000 should be able to handle multiple users!

Do you need a community voting ballot/suggestion box on your website to let the masses tell you what they want from the products they buy off you? As customers it is in our interest to help Apple keep up with the other operating systems out there.

ARE YOU ACTUALLY LISTENING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS!?!

WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO FIX THIS!?!?!

P.S It could also be beautifully harmonious with FaceID, I have a Nest Home Hub Max which is a pretty simple android product we use in our kitchen. Even that has the brains to know which person is in front of it. Google assistant changes what it displays for that person. If google can do that with a simple camera surly Apple can handle multiple users automatically identified with its highly sophisticated FaceID...

Also, since you seem to be on a tear here, the day iPads and iOS become an even more complicated and expensive variation of a MacBook, is the day I will stop purchasing and using iPads.

I realise that there is this whole subculture of users who want iPads to turn into clunky, kludgey, dongle-laden, overly complicated, overly/utterly complex and overly externally device driven devices, where you need to carry scads of cabling, hubs, external battery sources and all sorts external storage devices along with iPad wherever you go!

I am definitely NOT one of of those users.

I happen to like the simplicities of the iPad and feel that while the new iPadOS has some pretty good things going for it, in terms of being more firmly integrated with the Apple Pencil, iPadOS is continuing to move/advance in the wrong direction, just because this subculture group of users want to turn the iPad into a “Frankenpad” version of a traditional version of a laptop computer.

I don't want my iPad to ever turn into a full, complicated laptop variant, ever!

The day all that makes an iPad an iPad goes away is the day I am no longer a user of an iPad!

Do you not read the term of service you sign up for?

There is no Apple in these user to user technical forums.

Apple devices has always been for a single users, you knew this prior to buying the device if it wasn't suitable for you then why make the purchase.

Hmmm... because I am already in their eco system. I also like to believe they are progressive and pay attention to other market leaders. The iPadPro is a powerful product but sometimes held back from its true potential like a simple thing like this. We love the iPad as a laptop replacement, it is why we chose it when we were selecting a new device. I believed apple would have made something like multiple users in iPadOS 14.
