How to set up SIM card on new iPhone 12 Pro?

I just received a new iPhone 12 Pro and am I supposed to switch the SIM card out from my old phone and put it in the new phone.

It's up to you.

If you don't swap SIM cards, when your new phone is activated it should activate the new SIM card and deactivate your old one.
