I am getting this message flashed repeatedly
what can I do to stop it

Go to Settings/Calendar/Accounts, look for a rogue calendar under Subscribed Calendars, tap on it and delete it.
And next time don’t accept any “free” offers on websites or in apps.

Unsubscribe from it.
You are using iOS 14. Go to Settings ➔ Calendar ➔ Accounts and under Accounts see if an unknown calendar account is listed. If it is then tap on it and then Delete account.
