Sharing iPad screen for Education while keeping camera active

Dear all,

while teaching online (classical music theory) I'm using Skype and I am sharing my iPad Pro (12.9, 3rd gen.) screen to show apps like GoodNotes, EarMaster, PDF Expert for annotations etc. ...

One of the big downsides is that when I start sharing the screen the camera is turned off as Skype doesn't support this, not even with Split Screen.

Now, the ideal situation would be a picture-in-picture in one of the corners and me still being able to share the screen of what I'm doing on the iPad.

Is there any app that allows this kind of workflow? I do not need to see myself but maybe I would like to see a small picture of my students in a corner so that I could check they just didn't leave the room while being unwatched upon.
