big sur samsung ml-2160 printer

After OS upgrade to Big Sur, I couldn't manage to set up my SAMSUNG ML-2160 wireless printer. Is there any one who had the same issue and somehow solved it?

My Samsung ML-2955ND laser does not appear in AirPrint supported devices, but is working (in duplex) with the AirPrint driver on Big Sur. When you perform the Reset print system… on your Samsung printer in Printers & Scanners, does AirPrint appear as a driver alternative?

If not AirPrint support, the last HP/Samsung driver support for the ML-2160 was for OS X 10.11 in Sept 2017. Very likely these three-year old drivers will not work now in Big Sur with its 64-bit driver requirements.

Gutenprint printer support stops with the ML-2152 model, so probably no luck there either.

Hi Sukru,

I too had the same problem as you with my old Samsung ML-2168 printer and managed to fix it by using the Samsung universal print driver, I've attached a link to where I downloaded it from.

your Mac should auto detect which driver to use once you've installed the package

if not pick the "Samsung ML-2600 Series".

Hope this helps,
