on the Home Screen.. yes, but not in the upper corner like you are probably hoping for. Not on Face ID models.
You can see the battery percentage in Control Center, by asking Siri, adding a widget to today view..
Or you can add a widget to your Home Screen, if the widget is at least medium sized, it will show you the percentage
