Mirroring landscape
My screen lock works on phone in landscape but it doesn’t in mirroring on Apple TV

It sounds like you are having issues with landscape orientation on your iPhone 8 when using AirPlay to mirror it to Apple TV.
- If you have not done so already, please update to the most recent version of iOS and tvOS.
- Restart both devices and your HDTV after updating the software.
- Turn off orientation lock on your iPhone.
- Enable mirroring and then turn iPhone to landscape orientation.
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Rotate the screen on your iPhone or iPod touch
Use AirPlay to stream video or mirror your device’s screen
"Your TV uses your iOS or iPadOS device's screen orientation and aspect ratio. To fill your TV screen with the mirrored device screen, change your TV's aspect ratio or zoom settings."
