Lag when typing an answer in iMessage

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. It looks like your onscreen keyboard is slow when typing in iMessage.

We're glad to help.

Have you restarted the iPhone using “slide to power off”? Restarting can often clear up issues. This explains how: Restart your iPhone 

If you still have this lag after the restart, try isolating a little more by adjusting a setting.

Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Predictive and disable Predictive. Test if the keyboard works better, and let us know what happens.

I believe this is a bug in iOS 14 as this did not occur before upgrading. Also, many other users have this same issue while using different iPhone models. It all began once upgrading to iOS14.
