Is Your Mac Actually Turning On?

To find out if your Mac is actually turning on, we first have to make sure it’s turned off.

Press and hold the power button for about 15 seconds; this will ensure that the Mac is indeed turned off.

The next step will be to turn your Mac on.

(If MacBook/Air is not plugged in to AC adapter, do so; prepare to wait for up to an hour, before startup.)

An article from third-party suggests basics. Others from Apple Support could be good in other ways.

Check power and cables: Make sure the power cable is plugged

into computer and into a functioning power outlet. On portable

computers, the power adapter plug glows amber if the battery

is being charged, and glows green when the battery is fully

charged. Be sure to use the power adapter that came with your

computer or a compatible replacement adapter.

Troubleshooting this may involve repetitive attempts, once status

of battery and power adapter is known. Or arrangement for the

portable Mac to be sent to repair. Official support in some regions

offers send-in repair; they could send a return shipping box.

Good luck & happy trails!🌻🌤
