IMessage I didn't write

How is it possible that an I-message was sent from Mac book that I didn't write? The message did not appear on my iPhone. The message was sent 6 months ago, but I only found it this week on my MacBook. How does this work?

I have also had text messages sent to me from people I don't know, but they know the geographical location of the town I live in. Have they picked it up from certain adult websitesI have been looking at? How can these people find this out about me? I have deleted my old Apple ID as I suspect I have been hacked.

Hi there David0817,

We can certainly understand the concern of seeing an iMessage sent that you did not write. We're happy to provide some insight into this for you. This sounds like your Apple ID could have been compromised. You can get the steps to take of that here:
