Is it possible to add sequential transitions in iMovie? (ex.: a spin out followed immediately by a spin in) vers. 10.2.1 build 380212. I have tried putting a black screen between, but I can't make the black spacer short enough.

iMovie has no specific function that would allow for sequential tranitions.
However, you could add your Spin In transition at the front of the clip no. 1. Then create an auxiliary project, put clip no. 2 into it, add your spin out transition to the end of the clip, share out, and import the shared out clip into your main project. Put it in front of Clip no. 2.

I meant to say to put to put the shared out movie in front of clip no. 1.
