iPhone 12 mini continuous vibration

Hi. I own an iPhone 12 mini for 3 days now, and yesterday as I was messaging using multiple apps (iMessage, whatsapp and telegram) the phone suddenly started vibrating and did not stop until I had to force shut down and restart.

I have updated the phone to the latest IOS the same day I got the phone. Not sure if this is a bug within software, or a hardware problem. Should I get a replacement for the phone? I have yet to encounter the same issue as it is less than 24 hours since it happened, but I don't think a new phone should be having this kind of issue.
