cam I use time machine with iCloud?

I want to backup my MacBook Air using time machine. I want to store the backup on my iPhone XR or use the iCloud. I can't find any instructions

Time Machine does not backup to iCloud to to an iPhone. Most people backup to an external hard disk or external SSD. See the following for the external devices that it will backup to: Backup disks you can use with Time Machine - Apple Support
