Safari Search Results

Whenever I search for something, the ‘top hit’ is never a link to the actual highest ranking website, it shows locations and contact details. There isn’t a link to the website below any of this information either.


I’ve searched for John Lewis below as an example.


I can’t see to find a setting I’ve altered to cause this change but it’s frustrating!

Thanks for reaching out here in the Apple Support Communities. We see that you are getting location results for Safari searches, and we're glad to help.


When you search for a website that is also a location, the top hits will try to show locations near you.

The top hit should be a link to the main website.


If you'd rather not see locations near you, you can disable Safari in Location Services.

Turn Location Services and GPS on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
