In Numbers, how to delete cells

iPad: in Numbers, how do you delete a group of cells? Not to delete content, but to make the cells actually go away.

Select a row or rows by tapping the row number at the left and tap Delete in the bar that pops up.

Same for column except you tap the column letter.

Note that if you want to "delete" a cell "in the middle" of your table, just select the cells beneath it, keep pressing, and simply drag them up. Or select the cells to the right of it and drag them left.
