Rebuild fusion drive.

I foolishly replaced the HDD portion of fusion drive with a 2TB SSI. This is in a 2017 iMac retina. I did it because I had so much luck by install in a SSC into my 2011 MacBook Pro. It is much faster than the iMac (to me that means not seeing the spinning wheel). When I did the install of the SSC on the iMac, I didn’t have an understanding of what a fusion drive was, I now do. I tried to run boot camp assistant and found that it couldn’t be done. I have been reading community posts and think I have the solution to my situation with this discussion.

I would like to know if anyone else has rebuilt the fusion drive using two SSDsBoot. The one that was part of the original fusion drive and the one that I replaced the HDD with? And if that works OK. I’m happy with the way the iMac is running on the single SSD but I really would like to get my boot camp partition back.

I was using Parallels and liked being able to use both windows and Mac OS without restarting all the time.

Thanks for responding.

Yes, I use Time Machine and I ejected the disk immediately before changing the HDD for a SSD.
