having issue with my new 12 pro max not focusing on upclose pic
Hello craiger65141,
Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand having issues with your iPhone's camera won't focus when shooting close to objects, and we'd be happy to look into this with you.
This is an expected behavior as this iPhone model has a larger camera sensor and optics so the macro focus distance (MFD, or minimum focus distance) was increased compared to other iPhone devices.
We hope this information is useful. Kind regards.
So, apple support team.
You mean this is the limitation of iPhone 12 pro camera and this something your customers have to face and live with it?
Wow, just wow and surprise that iPhone 12 camera is worse than my old 11 or even Samsung for the macro mode...
unfortunately this cant be fixed. i went to apple store and got 3 replacement so far all of them have this issue. This camera really should get recalled by apple. Its a hardware thing and cant be fixed
Hello Sir. I respectfully deem this response: Ridiculous. This issue is also showing on the iPhone 12 Pro, but not on the iPhone 12. (Same size sensor, just in case you didn't know). Wanna try again?
