M*A*S*H laugh track

How do I turn off the laugh track on the TV series M*A*S*H as the ability to do this appears to be missing on the iTunes version whereas the ability to do this was there on the DVD version. The laughtrackq is so terrible that I have stopped watching the episodes!!!

If you look at the details of what language versions are available you will only seeUS English 20th Century has removed all other language version. The UK English audio version is where the laugh track has been removed. So if you want the audio without the laugh track you need to GET 20th Century Fox to add the UK English audio back and if your French German Korean etc these audio racks as well. 20th Century can does this via an update that Apple can issue please.

Hello broonsau,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We understand that you want to know how to turn off the laugh tracks. We're happy to help!

"On your Mac or PC

  1. Move your pointer over the video.
  2. Click the speech bubble icon  .
  3. Choose the language or subtitles that you want to use.

If you don't see an option for SDH, or you want to turn on CC or SDH by default, follow these steps:

  • On a Mac, choose Apple () menu > System Preferences from the menu at the top of your computer screen. Click Accessibility, then click Captions in the sidebar. Select "Prefer closed captions and SDH" to turn it on. If you want to customize captions and subtitles, choose from the options on this screen.
  • On a PC, choose Edit > Preferences from the menu at the top of the iTunes window, then click the Playback tab. Select "Prefer Closed Captions and SDH" to turn it on. If you want to customize captions and subtitles, choose different options from the menu to the right of Caption Style or click the Configure button."
