Almost all applications are slow since the upgrade. Sometimes I have to force quit in order to access an app. Other times the whole screen freezes until I restart the laptop manually.
Is there anyone having the same issues?

P.S. The upgrade has broken my Anaconda installation which was using a lot of CPU and couldn't even start. Just sharing if someone else has the same issue.
Try opening Activity Monitor >> View >> All Processes to crackdown runaway applications and report back.
My laptop has just restarted itself while I was trying to save a file in VS Code. A minute before that there was nothing unusual in the activity log - no exhausted resources.
I understand that some applications are not yet optimized for the new OS, but it sometimes freezes while using Safari.

Two things: some slowdown may be due to extra activity like Spotlight reindexing stuff after the upgrade.
But crashing is probably due to some software conflict.
Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.
I am using Anaconda too, and it has been working ok.
It may be a good opportunity to delete it and reinstall, to get a fresh start.
