Homepod Mini flashing Orange light constantly

i just bought a Homepod mini. After unboxing it, i plugged it into the mains using the power adapter it came with. for the last 10 hours it has been flashing orange light. What should i do?

I just fixed this problem. I received my HomePod mini yesterday from Dubai, UAE and got the same problem.


Here in Saudi Arabia, we are using 110v and 220v. In our old villa, we are using 110v. So, when I tried to plug it, it stays in the orange light. I tried all the troubleshooting in the Apple Support but none of it works. I went to the office this morning to try it with a 220v socket and it works. But when I switch back to 110v it went back to orange light.


I'm planning to buy a transformer (step-up, 90W-100W) to convert 110v to 220v. I will let you know if it works.

I ran into the same issue. Luckily I was able to get it replaced at my local Best Buy. Fair warning about being a “I spend such and such I deserve special treatment” companies don’t care. I’ve worked in enough retail environments to know that all it gets you is laughed at for thinking you are more deserving than someone else just because you could afford to spend a lot.

Exactly the same issue here - right out of the box on release date (16th Nov).


Spoke to Apple after unboxing and while on the phone it weirdly started to work.


Needed to unplug it to move it a week later and since then, back to orange flashing light and no change for days.


Apple sent me a replacement power adapter which made no difference.


Asked for a replacement, was told I’d have to wait until January - ridiculous as the decide is less than 14 days old!!!


Ive spent near £3,000 with apple in the past few months and this just feels a bit insulting!
