Stock Annual Dividend function results

I have a spreadsheet that calculates yields for annual stock dividends. When Ford (F) withdrew its dividend the spread sheet continues to show the prior annual dividend. If I change the symbol to another stock, hit enter and then go back and reinsert F I get the old dividend number. If enter F in another stock symbol cell in that spread sheet it returns the old dividend amount. If I go to another spread sheet (ie, not another sheet, but another whole document) and execute the stock function for F I get an "error" that there is no dividend data for this symbol. The latter is the "correct" response. How do I clear the old cached data from the first sheet so it returns the proper information?

Thank you for the suggestion. While the “why” is still unclear, by deleting all formulas in the workbook (all tabs/sheets) that related to the Ford stock symbol, closing the workbook, reopening the workbook and Re entering the formula for the cells cleared the old/incorrect data.

thank you to everyone for their suggestions/help.

Unfortunately, this is one of those problems we cannot duplicate and try different things on because we can't go back in time to get the old result. I am unaware of any documented way to clear the cache. I find it surprising that it doesn't update itself. My guess is that it is getting no data for the dividend now, similar to what would happen if you were offline, so it uses the previously stored value. But, because it will never get an update for that parameter from Yahoo, it will never fix itself.

Just taking a swing at it here, what would happen if you copy the formula from your other document (the one with the error for a dividend) and paste it into this messed up one? If that doesn't work, try it when not connected to the Internet. I know if I am not connected to the Internet and I do this with a STOCK formula set to "price" it brings with it the price from the other document. But I don't know if it will overwrite something that is already there, I've only tried it on a new document.
