iPhone 8 reset

I don’t have the password for the iPhone 8 that we reset. My husbands mom can’t remember and just bought a new phone. How can I get past this screen and reset it

if you're talking about the passcode..

If you forgot the passcode on your iPhone, or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support

if you are talking about activation lock, those credentials will need to get figured out
