Can be used screen from a stolen iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, Watch, iMac, MacBook for repair?

I know that exist a way to lock any device from Apple as lost by iCloud; but if it turned off the Wi-Fi or Cellular Data before the devices receive it or, even, if it received, can be used this or anything component for repair another?

If not, I think that could be a great feature to improve security and I will suggest by Product Feedback because the screen is common that it break if fallen.

If yes, could you tell me where Apple explain it?
