So I switched from 2011 MacBook Pro to a 2012 iMac. I’m a real estate agent and when I was uploading files on the pro it works fine now when Are used up iMac the file sizes are too large. How do I fix or correct this so I don’t have to buy a new computer.

How much disk space do you have left?
If the problem is that files you download are automatically decompressed, you can turn off that behavior.
In Safari Preferences, under the General group, uncheck 'Open "safe" files after downloading'.
OK sorry for the lack of clarity. It appears that when I create these files and I save them to my computer the size of them are too large that when I go to upload them into our program so that other agents or other people cant see them or have trouble saving them in reusing them because the file size is too big or creates an issue when they try to view it. Basically I wanna understand how to make sure that when I am creating a file and or saving it without going back and compressing it how do I do it so I know that my file size is not too large.
Thanks for the response. I had figured that out by using utube, but if i compress it it becomes too distorted. So the file is being created to large when it is originally made. Didnt know if there was a feature to control that. Thanks
I will look there but i think it starts when i creat the file and save it. On my macbook pro the file size is fine. On my imac doing the same thing the file is created too big. Then when trying to share it becomes the issue. Sorry if i am confusing everyone
Upgrade the RAM. It gives more memory so uploading and downloading will be faster.
Its 1 TB im not looking at it but a lot of space. I keep most my files on an external hard drive.
