Airdrop

I have an iPhone 7, and for some reason the Airdrop is not working. I have used the Airdrop frequently and recently but for some reason in settings it is permanently set to receiving off. I have tried to set it to everyone over and over again, but it doesn't seem to save. There aren't really any parental controls on the phone right now, but it's possible that something along those lines is causing this. In that case, does anyone know where i should go in settings to allow changes to airdrop? And if that's not the case, does anyone have any other ideas of what's wrong?
