How i start making EDM music

I’ve never honestly created music like that of EDM or Synth, and I’m winding if there’s anyone out there that might have points on how I could start.

Like, what equipment might be best to have or use, what software, etc.

I do want to get a MacBook Air (latest model), but would a Pro be better off with something like this?

Production Music not showing up in in FCPX 10.6.5 on Monterey a 2020 MacBook Pro M1. Even after going to 'Download Additional Content' and downloading everything there I have all the sound effects, but no music. I've had fcpx for many years on various machines and always used there long and short production music songs, which have been very good to say the least. Anyone know how to get this to show up? Thanks
