I have an iPhone 8Plus. I have a screen that says it's disabled and that I should connect to iTunes. I made sure that iPhone sync is on in preferences. Did all those steps. This took awhile to get to.
So, I am now connected by USB to my computer. I held down phone on and the home button. No iPhone shows up on iTunes. Please tell me what's next. HELP!

The link I provided included information about the Mac. It says that if you have updates done and it still won't recognize it, you need to contact Apple Support.
If you see your iPhone, iPad, or iPod under USB Device Tree, get the latest macOS or install the latest updates. If you don't see your device or still need help, contact Apple Support.
But I would try putting the iPhone back into Recovery mode again. Try a few times before you give up. You can also make a Genius Bar appointment and get assistance at the Apple Store to recover it.
Thanks, Chris. Mac doesn't have iTunes anymore, and I went to Finder and it doesn't recognize my iPhone either. It might have before I updated to Big Sur which I did in-between while my iPhone was being charged and I was bored. So now I have Big Sur update, a phone disabled telling me to connect to iTunes which no longer exists, and I have spent 3 hours on this problem. 😔
Also, I tried each time each of the ports on my Mac, tried disconnecting and connecting USB cord to phone. Nothing, One response from another support group said I should hold the button on the side and the home button until it connects to computer. Nothing.
