AWDL is Apple Wireless Direct Link

It is used for airdrop and other peer to peer configuration.

This will indeed mess with en0 (your wireless adapter) since it is using it for secondary task. i.e. peer to peer link with your iPhone or iPad or some other Apple device you own.

Never jump to conclusions that Apple stuff is being hacked.. it is very highly unlikely.

I'm especially worried about the line: "_openIpAddressMonitoringSockets: Monitoring IP address changes on en0". Is that indicative of hacking? I'm worried

Is awdl used for bluetooth as well? The timestamp coinsides to when i turned on my bluetooth on my mac.

Yes.. if you read all the details.. AWDL sets up a connection over wifi then is then carried over bluetooth. Or visa versa.. it was a really strange setup when it first came out but I have not looked at it again for a while.
