IPhone 12 mini screen gap

Hi,

I’ve just watched a video on youtube about a screen gap on the iPhone 12’s. I checked mine and it has the same screen gap mentioned in the video. I spoke to apple tech support today and the rep said phone should be totally sealed and shoud not have gaps as it is rated as IP68 water resistant. He said I can return the phone and have it replaced becuase obviously it can cause serious damage to the phone if water leaks inside the components and that will void the warranty as well.

This whole iPhone 12 journey has never been a pleasurable experience right from the start. This is my 2nd iphone 12 mini now and sadly it has the same problems as the first phone I got. Screen flickering and now screen gaps. I just hope Apple will resolve these problems. For now, I am gonna have to return this phone again.

I really want the mini and there’s no any other phone in the market that interests me. So, I’ll try my luck for the third time and hopefully I get a proper one this time.
