iOS 14.2 battery drain

I have the same issue on my iPhone 8.

the issue literally happened overnight! Like a flip was switched! Never got any new apps changed any settings and woke up and my battery was terrible!

also, I downloaded the iOS 14.3 final release, it’s helped a ton with battery but the issue is not 100% fixed! I still notice fast draining!

I have noticed a significant battery drain since 14.2 as well on my iPhone 11.

I keep closing all my apps to make sure it’s not them. I can have my phone in my pocket for half an hour and pull it out and feel the heat off of it through my phone case. Definitely a software issue.

FYI: For those that don’t know, heat is the mortal enemy of all battery life.

I have purchased iPhone se 2020 in April and another one end of November 2020 I have noticed that large battery drain while running iOS 14.2 on both iPhone SE as well as they get warmer

i don’t know how much they discharge and drain at such high rate

what does apple do to fix that

The performance after iOS update is not acceptable
