Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. It sounds as though you're having issues with screen recording, after the latest macOS update. Are you following the actions outlined in article, How to record the screen on your Mac? If so, can you tell us what happens when you attempt to record your screen? Are you receiving any error messages? If so, what do the messages say?


Have you tried any actions such as restarting your MacBook to see if that corrects the issue? If not, give that a try. Also, try testing this in another user account to see if the issue persists.


Log out, sleep, wake, restart, or shut down your Mac

Set up users, guests, and groups on Mac - Add a user
