I recently updated my Time Machine, after over ten years of long service, and updated with a much newer and lighter model, but I didn't get to erase the old one, and I threw out the cables and connections, I just have the hard drive, so how do I kill it? I don't own a hammer.

No hammer? Okay run over it with a Caterpillar D6 a few times and that should do it.
While my question may sound humorous, I'm actually very serious, even if I did have all of the cables etc, I wouldn't want to plug that old thing back into my machine, and it's illegal to throw them in the bin, I don't know why, so any realistic info would be appreciated, Thanks.
