Can’t connect my headphones to my iPhone

i have Sony Bluetooth headphones that I have been always using with my iPhone X. Now I got the 12th and it doesn’t see my headphones :( I disconnected it with my old phone, but it didn’t help.

to connect a bluetooth headset to a new device one has to put the headset into pairing / discovery mode
