External monitor color profiles over saturated

I had my two LG 27" 4k monitors dialed in to the right color settings before I upgraded to Big Sur. After I updated the software my displays are now super oversaturated and I don't know how to make them color correct again. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?

If you check the color format directly on your monitor settings you’ll see the color format is in YPBPR and can’t be changed properly into RGB. Unfortunately more people don't realize they aren't seeing RGB color format, there is a big loss of quality with this. This is an issue with the Mac OS that has yet to be addressed and hopefully will be addressed, I have bought 3 monitors and returned 2 all 3 have this issue, for colour critical work this is a big issue Apple is failing to correct. It is disappointing a new product is outputting an inferior image and for those who have wasted hours and money trying to find a monitor that will work are left with no explanation or response to the issue from apple. Please submit feedback to apple of this issue and hope that enough people do the same.

Different colors on external monitors with same Color profile Macbook Pro 2019 Intel vs M1Max 2021 Hi, I need some advice. I switched from a Macbook Pro 16 2019 to a new Macbook Pro 14 with M1 Max. After connecting it to an external monitor it messed up my colors quite a bit, especially the shades of grey/black. I've tried copying the color profile from the original Mac to the new one, but it's still insanely gray and the color rendition isn't the same as the old Mac. How to get out of this? Calibrating an external monitor with a probe doesn't help much. I'd like to achieve the same color reproduction as with the original Macbook. Hopefully that's not a problem since the external monitor stayed exactly the same.

Color profile defaults to sRGB IEC61966-2.1, won't save changes Hello Apple Hive, I'm on a 14" Macbook Pro, 2021 and Ventura 13.1. I recently switched external monitors to a ViewSonic VX3276. While trouble shooting a flickering issue (that I figured out) I was switching between color profiles and noticed that when I closed System Preferences it does not save the chosen profile or refresh rate, if changed. It defaults to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 every time. I saw another article that showed an earlier operating system where they recommended switching to "Scale" vs. "Default Resolution" and it fixed the issue. Ventura 13.1 does not have a "Scale" option under resolution. Any help or ideas would be appreciated!

We're glad to help get them calibrated correctly.

It sounds like some settings might have been changed with the upgrade, but these articles should help guide you to re-calibrating them.
